Welcome to EvenStance

EvenStance is a platform built for people who have been fobbed off once too often. It pairs a consumer who knows their case with an AI that knows the rules. Here is what it is, what it is not, and how to start.

Welcome to EvenStance
A platform for people who have been fobbed off once too often.

I built EvenStance because I was tired of hearing the same three words: "computer says no". Over the past few years, I have run eight disputes across eight industries, several of them for a vulnerable person I hold a deputyship for. I won most of them. A few I lost for reasons that had nothing to do with the law and everything to do with timing, paperwork, or a missed deadline.

The pattern never changed. The company delays. The consumer gets tired. The case collapses. Nine times out of ten the consumer was right; they just ran out of patience, structure, or confidence before the company ran out of excuses.

EvenStance is the platform I wish I had had then.

What EvenStance is

A consumer dispute platform for the UK. Multi-category from day one. Financial services, insurance, goods, services, property, utilities, credit cards, travel, professional services, regulatory, public bodies, and more. If you have a complaint with a UK company or public body and it is not moving, EvenStance takes it seriously from the first click.

The platform does four things well.

It gets your case in order. A short guided wizard captures the facts, the dates, the amount in dispute, the evidence you already have, and what you want to happen. It gives your case a structured shape a company cannot dismiss in one sentence.

It writes the letter. Initial complaint, chaser, formal escalation, SAR, letter before action, ombudsman referral, whatever your case needs next. Drafted against the correct statute, cross-checked against the correct deadline, reviewed by AI for legal soundness before you see it. You approve and send.

It keeps you on time. Deadline tracking, stage-aware prompts, and a simple dashboard so you know when it is time to chase, time to escalate, and time to file.

It tells you your rights. Plain-English guides, category by category, with the actual legislation referenced. Consumer Rights Act, FCA DISP rules, Equality Act, Housing Acts, Communications Act, everything.

What EvenStance is not

A claims management company. We do not take a percentage of your compensation. You keep all of it, every penny. We do not file on your behalf or pretend to be your representative. You are the complainant; the platform is your research, drafting, and tracking tool.

A solicitor. Most cases do not need one. The ones that do, the platform will tell you so, and point you at a directory of UK consumer solicitors.

A guarantee. Some cases are weak. Some companies get away with things they should not. The platform will tell you honestly when your case is strong, when it is borderline, and when it is not worth fighting. If your case is weak, a stronger letter will not fix that.

How to start

Register for free. Open a case. Answer the guided questions honestly (including the hard ones; the AI handles you the way a barrister would, not the way a customer-service script would). Let the platform draft the first letter. Read it. Edit if you want. Send it.

Then come back when the company replies, and the platform will tell you what the next best step is.

What comes next

The platform is live and evolving. Over the coming months: chargeback and Section 75 flows, subscription-cancellation audits, warranty and recall tracking, the Renters' Rights Act 2025 toolkit, and a chunk of US consumer-rights coverage for cross-Atlantic disputes. The weekly roundup, published every day that something material happens in UK consumer rights, is the easiest way to stay close to it.

If you have a dispute that is stuck, start now. The worst that happens is you get a clear answer about whether it is worth pursuing. The best that happens is you stand stronger, and you win.

Stand stronger. Start a free case.
